Arrival Day
Kilimanjaro Airport to Moshi: Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be transferred to Moshi for a briefing and preparation for your Kilimanjaro climb. Here, you’ll meet your guides and have a final gear check.
Day 1: Londorossi Gate to Big Tree Camp
Elevation: 2,100m to 2,650m
The adventure begins with a drive to Londorossi Gate for registration. The trek starts in the lush rainforest, heading to Big Tree Camp.
Day 2: Big Tree Camp to Shira Camp 2
Elevation: 2,650m to 3,850m
Today’s trek continues through the forest before reaching the moorland zone. You will cross Shira Ridge and descend to Shira Camp 2.
Day 3: Shira Camp 2 to Barranco Camp
Elevation: 3,850m to 3,960m
You will traverse the Shira Plateau, passing the Lava Tower, and descend to Barranco Camp, allowing for acclimatization.
Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Elevation: 3,960m to 4,035m
Today’s trek involves climbing the Barranco Wall and hiking through glacial valleys to Karanga Camp, enjoying spectacular views.
Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
Elevation: 4,035m to 4,640m
