Arrival Day: Kilimanjaro Airport to Moshi
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Moshi. Here, you’ll have a briefing and preparation session for your climb, ensuring you have all the necessary gear and information for your adventure.
Day 1: Umbwe Gate to Umbwe Cave Camp
The first day begins with a drive from Moshi to the Umbwe Gate. After registration, the trek starts with a steep ascent through the dense rainforest. The trail is narrow and winds through the forest, offering glimpses of the rich flora and fauna. After several hours of challenging trekking, you will reach Umbwe Cave Camp at 2,850 meters (9,350 feet) for your first night on the mountain.
Day 2: Umbwe Cave Camp to Barranco Camp
On the second day, the trail continues to ascend steeply as you leave the rainforest behind and enter the moorland zone. The path offers stunning views of the surrounding landscapes and Mount Kilimanjaro. After about 4-5 hours of trekking, you will arrive at Barranco Camp at 3,900 meters (12,800 feet). This camp is set in a picturesque valley, surrounded by steep cliffs and the iconic Barranco Wall.
Day 3: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Day three begins with the challenging climb up the Barranco Wall, a steep and rocky path that requires some scrambling. Once at the top, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views. Day 4: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Day 5: Barafu Camp to Summit and Back to Mweka Camp
Summit day starts around midnight with a challenging ascent to Stella Point on the crater rim. From there, you will continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 5,895 meters (19,341 feet). After celebrating your achievement, you will descend to Barafu Camp for a short rest before continuing down to Mweka Camp at 3,110 meters (10,204 feet). Day 6: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
